Who am I?
Steve Jakeway is a Graphic Designer and Illustrator based in Gloucester, UK and is a Sole Trader.
How I Collect your Personal Data.
I receive information about you when you use my website by completing the ‘Contact’ form.
Visitors to my website.
Additionally, user information is collected when:
- You comment on my site by a cookie which remembers your user name and/or email address. You can read more about how cookies are used on the ‘Cookies’ page.
- A third party service, Google Analytics, collects standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. This is done to find out the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. No attempt is made to find out the identities of those visiting my website. If I did want to collect personally identifiable information through my website, I will be up front about it. I would make it clear when I collect personal information and will explain what I intend to do with it.
WordPress
I use a third party service, WordPress.com, to create my website and use the JetPack plugin to collect anonymous information about users activity on the site, for example, the number of users viewing pages on the site, to monitor and report on the effectiveness of the site to help me improve it.
WordPress requires visitors that want to post a comment to enter a name and email address. Where you have chosen a password in order to make comments on my website you must keep the password confidential and not share it with anyone. Hosting.
My site is hosted at 123-reg.co.uk, which is run by 123 Reg Limited.

Search queries and results are not logged.
Links to other sites
I may provide links to third party sites. Since I do not control those websites, I encourage you to review the privacy policies of these third party sites. Any information that is supplied on these sites will not be within my control and I cannot be responsible for the privacy policies and practices of these.
As the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure, I cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to my site and any transmission is at your own risk. Once I have received your information, I will use strict procedures to try to prevent unauthorised access.
Marketing
I use a third party provider, Campaign Monitor, to deliver e-newsletters and other marketing email campaigns. My account gathers statistics regarding email opening and clicks through to my website using industry standard technologies to help monitor and improve my electronic marketing campaigns.
