How your website is found and then used, viewed and interacted with is no black art but achieved with simple strategies and common sense. It must have strong visual impact that upholds your brand, communicate clearly what you are trying to say and allow the user to navigate easily and effectively in order for them to want to stay on your site. The longer they are on the site, the more they will engage with your business, your products and your services.
Designing to these requirements requires an understanding of the customers expectations, the industry standards and the technology to achieve this… not an easy task as the technology is in constant flux. I am firstly a creative but having worked with some excellent web developers over the years I have a good knowledge of code, an understanding of back-end systems and experience in bespoke as well as ‘off-the-shelf content management systems, predominantly WordPress – an excellent, low cost system that allows you to have greater control of your site.
